In the race for finding Planet friendlier Techologies or Invention; we shouldn't forget the energy needed to function those inventions...often a great invention comes with a high cost on the planet or finacially for the energy or type of batterie needed for using it or storing the energy of it.
I recently had the chance to learn about this technology Supecapacitators and Ultracapacitators that are strong and efficient enough to compete with regular batteries like Lithium batteries; this Supercapacitators do not need Mining a ressource like Lithium and can be built using a wide range of organic materiels and so can be use for reusing or in the recycling of material process.
The reliability in price and availability is greater since the products needed for it can be varied and found locally anywhere, also the price can't fluctuates or the availability of it since it doesn't require: importing or transport of basic raw material that also require lots of fees of process, mining, transport, buying the raw goods and duty & customs regulation on dangerous goods with delays and possible fines, and also danger and accident related to the raw product or the recycling of regular batteries for the reusing components.
Ultracapacitators are strong enough for electric cars and function better then regular batteries in extreme cold and hot weather from -40 to +65; also. they can be used for many electric devices that require "high power energy storage and many rapid charge/recharge cycles". Some can be made even using recycle jute making this technology perfect for "Bio-Waste to Energy Storage" global goals.
