If you have become vegan or vegetarian, after a while, it might have made sense to you to adjust your best pet friend too ! I did ... over a year ago I decided to become vegetarian and succeeded ... since, i tried to find a brand of pet food for my little friend, and have him become a vegetarian or semi-vegetarian too ... It was a maze ... i only found a brand that seemed to suit our needs ... my little friend is indoor only ... I share my findings, if this could help you achieve your climate change home & family goals :)
This brand I found, is totally vegetarian, and has Taurine added (essential for cats), with minerals and vitamine, so not only a topper. Dash Door that delivers for Pets Smart, offers the single can of 13oz and the dry food small bag of 4 lbs, at a comparable price for dog food . Why it more expansive if there is no meat and not cheaper ??? apparently the process to make sure it is totally vegetarian, and free from any other animal, blood, liver, giblets, or insect protein source, is more costly.
Now ... I only have to make sure my little furry pet friend likes it :) But I can always change only one of the type of food, like the dry one ... and keep his favourite for the can ones ... as a topper :)
